You're right Toby, more stokers as well as others, hope you're okay mate, long time no see.
All,I first signed the guestbook when this site was in it's infancy and have been visiting many times to keep up to date. A big well done for the quality of work involved in the making and upkeep of this site Damien, thanks very much.
I have sadly only ever attended one reunion, so I also applaud the lads who have been there to make D118, her memory and to the lads still on patrol, a markable and remarkable occassion. My thoughts are always there 25/5 and hold my own 'thing', but this is special...
So,for those attending who may remember me and to those ex-Cov's who don't, I WILL be there for the weekend run and look forward to seeing you.
Sorry for the delay.......
Ahoy Shipmates,
Really good to see so many new faces visiting the site, hopefully this will mean a great turn out this year, hopefully more Stokers as keeping these dabtoes in check is not as easy as it used to be.
See you all on the 25th and again later throughout the year at all the relevant reunions.
Take care all

The dinner below is honouring HMS Coventry and Atlantic Conveyor and those who lost their lives on both ships on this date 25 years ago. This would be an excellent start to your reunion weekend to attend this dinner. Tables of 10 available but invididuals are equally welcome.

Thanks Rocky,
I was going to have a chat to you about that.
I understand the skipper is launching his book on the 25th May,I was wondering if we could obtain a copy or two for the evening of the 25th.
Ive spoken to WINDFALL FILM CO.They state the documentary is also being shown on BBC2 on the evening of the 25thMay.
Looks like a big turn out, a very fitting tribute to both The Skipper and the crew.
Hope life is treating you all well. TTFN Busta
Do we know if the Skipper is aware of our "little" get together?I am sure there are those, like me who would like to buy him a "pint" or two.
Hi Everyone
Just a smally dit regarding this years "unofficial" reunion. See the reunion section of this web site for a general outline. I would just like to add, in view of the amount of interest this is generating, that it is a very informal weekend we are planning.
We are meeting in the bar of the Home Club as usual. For those who have not attended before, I would just like to point out that we don't book a room, we don't have a meal/buffet, there isnt a band and we don't wear penquin suits! This is in line with people's wishes. A friendly informal drink and chat over old times with friends. Us 'regulars' would like to see as many people as possible attend with their families. Please drop me a line on email for more details, my email address is in the reunion section of the web site.I look forward to seeing you. Jim
its been sometime since i last dropped a line, i,ve recently been in touch with bob rowell (snake eyes) in gibralter and he`s hoping to attend with tommy cooper in may as well as myself. it will be good to see a few old faces again and maybe we can get tony reece ringbolted so he starts performing again.
Great site Damien, nice to see some old faces, Sam Scott, 'Higgy' and a few others from the 'Dryad' family.
HMS Coventry was a true warrior 42........stay proud!
Have a good 'run-ashore' this year.

Very nice site, you lads did us proud down South,I served on HMS Yarmouth 63 HMS Protector down South 59-60 although I took no part in the war I was proud to lay a wreath at the cenotaph on Dec 9th 06 on behalf of the HMS Protector association to pay our respects to those who lost their lives in both Falklands wars,we shall remember you all at our reunion church service in April at Coventry
Ann,
I'm pretty certain I have a nice photo of your brother Frank down 3N mess. I'm in the middle stages of a self build at the moment and everything's in storage! so I'm not sure where my albums are. I'll dig it out asap.
Best regards
Martin Rossiter (Rigsby)
Currently serving on HMS Edinburgh, myself (Yarmouth)and WO1 Dicky Davies (Broadsword)visited the Pebble Island Memorial today. Taking the opportunity to remember the events of 25 years ago, it still seems like yesterday. Dicky took the opportunity to give the Memorial the traditional clean and spruce up, I have taken a few pictures of the visit - if they can be uploaded please let me know. We are about to be relieved by Exeter's Ships Company and will be back in the UK soon. Hope to see some of you in June for the Horseguards Parade

Sorry, mistake made on my earlier post - it should of course read MEM1 FRANK ARMES.
My brother, MEM1 FRANK EHEIM,
died aboard the Coventry on 25.5.82.
I would very grateful if anyone still has any photographs of Frank which could be copied or scanned. I have hardly anything to show my sons of the uncle they never knew. We think of Frank every day and still miss him terribly. Thank you very much for your help.
Great site. Look forward to seeing you all in May.
JUST FOUND THE SITE, I WAS A STOKER ON THE COV, READ THE GUEST BOOK, MANY MEMORIES AND SOME NAMES I RECONISED. FOR THE RECORD THE PHOTO OF THE 2 GUYS IN DAVE BEETONS ALBUM (REF: FLIGHT DECK SPECTATORS) IS MYSELF ON THE RIGHT AND MEM TOBY OWEN ON THE LEFT. FOR ME THE COVENTRY HAD THE BEST SHIPS COMPANY BAR NONE, WE HAD A GREAT CARING SKIPPER WHOM I WAS PROUD TO SERVE UNDER....YEARS PASS US BY BUT THE LADS WHO NEVER RETURNED HOME ARE ALWAYS IN MY THOUGHTS COME 25TH MAY, ESPECIALLY MY VERY GOOD PAL MEM FRANK ARMS. THE LAST REUNION I ATTENDED WAS THE 10TH ANIVERSARY; I WILL BE ATTENDING THE 25TH FOR SURE. ANY ONE WHO REMEMBERS ME, DROP ME A LINE alfie2080@yahoo.co.uk
