one of the last meals had before entering pompey after the 1980 Far East run was a good old Cauliflower Curry (I think it was possibly the only 2 types of food we had left) and the chef's done a good job to get it edible

My dads an ex WEM who (luckily) missed the falklands but lots of our families friends were invloved. the falklands has always caught my imagination and it is not until i have got older that i realise the sacrifices that were made ( i was not born at the time). i have just read four weeks in may. Captain Hart Dyke has done you proud, in my opinion, this is both a masterpiece of historical recording and human survival in modern warfare and will ensure that the coventry and everyone that took part in the falklands as a whole. You will NEVER be forgotten Cheers

Tank Tracks. You need tons of brown sauce though, or else you might taste them. Best consumed at 01:00 whilst wearing Ovies and a set of Anti Flash, with a coke for afters from your ressie havasack.

Guys, received a dit from Denzil Connick (SAMA) via a mate. There is a petition for reopening a military hospital in the UK because Selly Oak can't cope and our servicemen from Afghanistan/Iraq are being sent home too early to cope on their own, hopefully to get home visits!!! You can petition at http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/Wounded/ They have only, for whatever reason, given until the 19th of August when they will remove it. Over to you. All the best, Sam

I've been informed that the second round of voting for funds from the national lottery is underway (until early August)and we have a chance to get money for the National Memorial Arboretum. I'm sure we all know its a very special place. You can log on to www.britishlegion.org.uk and follow the links for NMA. Why not pass on to family, friends and even your local?? Take care and calm seas guys. Sam
