Gentlemen I have received an email from Lieutenant Commander Graham Lovatt, Commanding Office of HMS Clyde, the Falkland Islands patrol vessel, who has informed me of his plans to conduct a service of remembrance over our Ship and then anchor off Pebble Island and weather permitting put people ashore to conduct a memorial service at the Memorial site. Hopefully there will be photographs to send on as well. I have thanked the Captain and his crew on everyones behalf. Simon

chris, i remember your dad john. i am sure that when action stations sounded on that day in may we were having a few cans in 2qs mess for his birthday.he was one of only a few cooks in 2qs. the rest of the lads were in 2qp.what i can remember is that we had a good time during the falklands. he took it all in his stride and had a dry sense of humour. sad to hear of his passing.best wishes.

Hi everyone, Great to see the site. I served on the Coventry from 1980 to 81 when we went to the Carribean, after Hurricane Allen. I was on the Glasgow during the Falklands and was deeply upset on hearing the fate of my old ship and one of my old friends, Rod Heath and Lt Cdr Robinson Moltke, I also knew Ian Williams. I also served under Captain Hart Dyke. Iยดm now running various businesses and living in Barcelona.

Anthony Hemmings: Hi i worked with John on the Coventry & was sat next to him in the liferaft holding his medical kit whilst he helped a badly injured crewmember. What he did that day saved that persons life, without hesitation or concerned with the situation he went about his business with one aim to save that guys life.I read in the paper years ago about his sad loss, such a nice genuine person.

Hi guys, I see your Reunion for 2009 is the last weekend in May. I met up with Baz Avery a while ago after not seeing him for about 20 years. I am the organiser for Swanage British Armed Forces and Veterans weekend which is the same weekend as your Reunion. We have a parade at 14:30 on the Sunday and if any of the association would like to attend I would be most greatful of the support. I served onboard Antrim in 1982 as a LS(R) and left the service 1998. Your Aye Steve Churchill (Winnie)

Friends, and Shipmates. 2009 Reunion. We are going to have the 2009 reunion on the weekend 29th โ€“ 31st May, the weekend after the May bank holiday. It will follow the format of previous years, as this has proved to be the most popular - An informal weekend of gatherings in which we remember our shipmates still on patrol and meet old friends. There will be meetings in the Home Club (now called the Maritime Club) Friday 29th from 19:30 onwards, Saturday 30th from a 12:00 DTS to an evening gathering beginning at 19:30-20:00. On Sunday 31st we will gather at 11:00 by The Falklands Memorial in Old Portsmouth for a short, non religious remembrance service. There will be a wreath laid, a role of honour and two-minute silence. Afterwards, we retire to the Still and West for a coffee or a pint before departing for home. Come to as many or as few meetings as suits you. Family and friends are welcome. There is no dress code. If you have never been to one before, it would be great if you can come along. For more information, please get in touch. Click on the envelope icon to the left of this message, but remember to remove the โ€œNo Junk Mailโ€ that will be automatically attached to the end of my Email address. Regards Rocky Hudson. (Ex AB.R)

Any news on when we will be having the 2009 reunioun. If the reunion is the weekend after the 25th, I can make it - otherwise a no go due to scheduling conflicts, but will be in the U.K. from the 27th May until the 3rd of June - girlfriend in tow.
