Draft Chit: I will be moving on from Coventry Cathedral on 20th October to be vicar St Werburgh's Church Wembury, Plymouth. (parish is former site of HMS Cambridge) Any ex D118's in the Devonport area always welcome to drop by the vicarage for liquid refreshments. My Last duty in Coventry is 16th Oct.when HMS Diamond is hosted at the cathedral following their being granted Freedom of the City. On the day before, in a quiet and unpublicised simple act of remembrance crew members of Diamond will lay a wreath at the D118 ROH in Holy Trinity Church. Martin Kirkbride, Sin Bosun.

I was wondering if anyone has a photo of WEA ian (stumpy) williams. I was his girlfriend at the time when he died. I only had a few pictures of him and unfortunately during a recent house move a box containing those photos has been lost. Although I moved on with my life, I have never forgotten him as he is always in my prayers

Shipmates. I have just seen the message where there is a request for a photo of Foxy Fowler. An extremely well remembered and respected one of our number who is so sadly missed. Alas I am unable to provide a photo. But I wish I could and it has set me wondering why we don't set about trying to include photos in our roll of honour. As we all get older perhaps photos will assist our memories. While we're at it. Perhaps we should compile a 'rogues gallery' of all of us who have served in Cov in our Photo album? After all... That's what photo albums are for. are'nt they?

I am writing a book on old boys of Kent College, Canterbury who died in conflict. These include MEA Geoffrey Stockwell, who died on the Coventry. I'd be very grateful for any pictures or memories of Mr Stockwell.

Shipmates, Looking for 'a few' good quality shots to go up on this website from our recent reunion/remembrance weekend. Please send me a few of the better phots for consideration. I have a good group phot from Sunday morning and Up Spirits, but nothing else. Please make sure only a few at a time and be selective. Cheers for any help. Yours Aye - Chairman

Shipmates, families and friends, Just to say what a wonderful reunion and Remembrance service we had at the weekend in Portsmouth. On reflection it was heartening to see and hear so many of us still making the effort to make sure we never forget. The turnout was great and certainly provided the opportunity for all of us to catch up but more importantly to Remember our shipmates we left on patrol 25 May 1982. I thank you all. I can say that our raffle and auction raised healthy sums of money which allows us to stay solvent and cover future costs for next year in Coventry which will all take place on Sunday 24th May 2015. A full agenda will appear here later in the year. Book the date! Please keep watching this website but for now and stay safe. Yours Aye - Chairman

Hi Thinking of everybody today and especially our shipmates still on watch. Will be raising a glass of pusser's later. Can I also ask for those that knew Ian Hall's mum Iris to raise a glass, she passed away peacefully a couple of weeks ago. A gem of a lady who looked after a few of us really well when we stayed at Nobby's house a few weeks before we left for Spring Train. Hope the re-union goes well and hope to see you next year. Thanks Molly

As the sun rose this morning, I sat and reflected on what has happened over the last 32 years. I've grown older, but my memories have never faded on this our fateful day. Ithe memories of my shipmates still on patrol grow stronger and will always be my heros. Calm seas
