Hi, Has anyone got a copy of the Souls onboard List that we used during the 82 conflict. I had one but it seems to be missing after I passed the reunion bumpf over. Hope you are all keeping well and gearing up for next year when there are lots of things planned for the 25th Anniversary both locally and Nationally. Regards Derek

I just heard the other day via email from Rocky about Joe's demise. I was saddened to hear of his passing. He was my running partner on the Cov and he really enjoyed the 4,5 mile runs we used go on. Paul Inman has a photo in the album of us in Germany. Joe, rest in peace and watch over all of us mortals still down here.

Yorkie told me the news today. Last time I saw Joe was about 10 years ago in the Ship Anson in Pompey and we swung the lantern for a couple of hours. Good times - we'll miss you, Joe.

I will miss him, but he will always be with us. God bless you Joe.

Dont know about any trainers but I still got a pair of steaming bats that I got from one of the Stokers. Fitted perfectly infact still got em on.
Rocky wrote on July 14, 2006 at 18:35
Mike, regarding your trainers. We will have a chat about it at next years reunion, and see if anyone knows anything, how's that? I saw a similar pair down by the telly in the Stbd grot. But that was just when I went on draft before the ship sailed, so it probably isnโ€™t them. Did they have your name in?

I was a radio operator on the Broadsword on the day the Coventry was lost, and we entertained some survivors down our mess. I realise that it is nearly 25 years ago now, but has the person that I leant my brand new Green Flash trainers to, size 8, finished with them yet? The gym have told me I can no longer wear my steaming boots on the running machine. Mike Green(ex Broadsword)
