Remembering our lost shipmates and thinking of you. I joined the Coventry just 10 days before my 18th in Feb ’82, and I’m sure it would have been difficult to choose a more close-knit ships company, so thank you me hearties especially to the Stokers, and the AER crew in particular. I shall certainly be raising a glass or two (o’ summat) in a short while. Had my FIRST read through of the Captains book several weeks ago and found myself magnetized to each page – excellent read, thank you Sir. Wishing peace and good health to you all Take care Pete in Sheffield

Unfortunately I can't make it this weekend, but I'll be thinking of you all. Remembering those who we lost in '82, and also sadly the ones we have lost since then.

25 years ago I was in the first Sea King (826 NAS) to arrive after the attack. My log book shows that we recovered 1 casualty to Broadsword and 13 more to Uganda and Red Beach. Like many of you, it is not a day I will forget. I wish you all well and good luck for the future.

I'm currently serving onboard HMS EDINBURGH (HMS EXETERs ships company-long story!!) and have had the privelage to help restore the COVENTRY Memorial Cross on Pebble Island. Can anyone help me in finding out who initially erected the cross and what they were serving on at the time. I believe it was 1983 with COVENTRY survivors serving in EXETER. Will be thinking of your loss at our own Memorial Service on 25th. God Bless.
