left a message previously regarding Ian Williams. After reading an article in the Portsmouth News about Ian's parents visiting the Falklands, i wondered if anyone knew his parents address. i was Ian's girlfriend when he died on the Coventry and even though my life has moved on, i have never forgotten him and he is often in my thoughts and prayers. would really love if someone could dig deep regarding a contact address. thanks

After a bout of nostalga I checked my Aircraft Controllers log for notable moments. June 3rd 1980, the day 336 found Kiev after EW intercept and cracked a rotor outflying 2 Hormone Bravo's and doing a run across Kiev's flight deck. That same day an A/B called Eaton had his first taste of being an HC by controlling 336 on a flyex. June 30th 1980 on leaving Mombassa the buffer on Alacrity killed and others injured after a RAS accident, 336 and first aid team with help of the Doc provided vital medical assistance to injured. August 1980, Coventry came 2nd in Kelvin Hughes VECTAC trophy, awesome result for ship with no attack sonar, says a lot for RP's and TAS apes in Ops room, usually the Anti sub frigates get this prize, for a type 42 to run a close second, well, that was the Coventry. Wish all past crew the best and my thoughts are with the family of those still on watch and patrol. Lest we forget.

Jock Rutherford asked me to let you all know his computer crashed so he's lost most of his addresses. Also, he's got a new job and therefore a new email address. Please email me if you want it.

Came across the site by accident, it's excellent, well done webmaster. I was the HC on the first commission and left from Singapore on 336 on the way to the Gulf. It's nice to know there's still so many who remember. Lest we forget. PS: I still have the original menu from the banquet in Shanghai and the invite to the commissioning of 336

Not for me to be short of words but had to have a bit of a break before adding this bit. Amongst those I met today were Alan Barry, the chief yeoman of the Broadsword, a really nice guy, and more special, Paul Callus's father, a fine gentleman very proud of his wonderful son. Made me feel very humble.

Good to see some of the guys at the Cenotaph, as 1100 arrived the sun came out from the clouds and a stiff breeze blew down Whitehall. Many thoughts of those still on patrol. Calm seas. Sam
