Thinking of all ex-Cov's past, present and no longer with us - A very Happy Christmas and New Year to you all and your families.
Ginge - we will be steering clear of the media circus - you still should have too much in the locker for us - but who knows? - we will take any christmas gifts on offer!

Hello everybody. Iยดve seen your webpage and would like to congratulate you for the work. I also would like to remember the fallen of both countries in the actions in which Coventry was involved.
Iยดve been checking your history and have some comments about the facts, happened 27 years ago.
The pilot who hit Coventry was 1st Lt Velasco. 2nd Lt Barrionuevo was the one who had problems to drop his bombs.
On 24th may there is an incident narrated by one of the argentinean Dagger pilots who participated in missions that day. According to him, when returning from a mission on San Carlos Waters, he crossed the Sound from east to west to go home, from Dolphin Cape to Pebble island. He saw both of you (Broadsword and Coventry) some miles away in his right. And he says he was fired a missile. He jettissoned one fuel tank and made some turnings to avoid it. Then he got land and continued his way home at very low level and almost flying supersonically.
I have no mention in british sources about this launching. Does anybody remember it?
About 9th may actions, the first 3 Sea Dart missiles were launched against three argentinean Learjets, acting as decoys. They could hardly avoid them.
That day, Coventry was the target of some argentine strike flights. Bad weather avoid them to get to their target. One of them even crashed in Jason islands in its way to try the location of you. Both pilots were killed (Lt Casco and Lt Farias).
Miss Buschiazzo brother was killed while on a SAR mission. They were looking for Narwhal crew, a spy trawler attcked previously by a Sea Harrier CAP. While flying East falkland south shore they were shot down by your Sea Dart.
Regards all from Spain
