Shipmates As all of you no doubt did, my glass was also raised last evening and a tear was shed, a few in fact, and long may we all that are left be able to do so. Also, just to say here http://www.coventrytelegraph.net/multimedia/news/images/2011/05/23/hms-coventry-sinking-tragedy-anniversary-92746-28745222/ is the first set of pictures from Sunday in Coventry, I trust more will follow from individuals that were there at the weekend, I am sure Damien will do his best to get the best ones up on the site in due course. There is also a ITV Central news clip if you go to their website, also talking to the BBC West Midlands who will provide me with their footage from Sunday morning as well. For now things may go quiet for a while, but rest assured I am already engaging and planning for next years 30th reunion in Portsmouth and will put something up as a first draft in the coming months. The aim being to get as many there as possible, this is what myself and the committee are working on and with your help we can do ourselves proud again next year with even greater numbers that we enjoyed in Coventry this past weekend. Meanwhile please feel free to contact me should you feel the need to do so whenever you wish and on whatever topic, I am always pleased to hear from ex-Covs...my shipmates. Take care Yrs Aye - Chris Howe MBE Chairman

I paused earlier this evening (in the middle of a work order) for a few moments of silence, respect, and memories of a great ship and crew. You are NOT forgotten. Hope to see you all next year in Pompey.
