i am the Treasurerof the Falkland Families Association and have been working with the MOD Medal Office for the last 6 months trying to trace Next of Kin of Servicemen killed during the Falklands War who have not yet claimed the Elizabeth Cross which istheirs by right. I had an original list of 70 servicemen's names and have so far tracked down 37 of them. Three of the remaining were Coventry men and I would be grateful for any information as to the whereabouts of any of their relatives so that I can trace them. They are :-- Frank Armes, Bernard Still and Philip White. Any leads will do as there is always somebody somewhere who knows something.
Please E-mail me withanything and I'll take it from there.
Thank you all
Just a quick note from the Chairman - Hoping you are all well.
It is most heartening to read the sporadic posts from shipmates confirming attendance at this years reunion, this is all good news indeed as we move closer to the 25th May. Can I just remind you all though to let either myself of Eli know that you are in fact joining us as we need to know numbers as accuratelly as possible for the catering on the Friday evening at the GIs Association. Thanks for that.
Don't forget to bring a raffle prize, anything will do...we can then build some funds and help pay for incidentals, Bugler for instance. VMT.
Finally, I can confirm that most arrangements are now in place, just last Friday I met with our very own 'Sky Pilot' Revd Martin Kirkbride, Coventry Cathedral Diocese and now a D118 Associate Member (also ex matelot of some 14 years, so a good addition to our act of remembrance this year. So, I just need you all to turn up at 1715 for a short parade under our very own standard iaw the itinerary adjacent...I look forward to seeing you all again then.

If funds permit, and I'm not suffering from our local Falklands30 reunion in St Pete the previous weekend, I'm hoping to fly across the pond to be with you all. I probably won't know for sure for a couple of months, but I'll be there in spirit if not in body.
Don't want to turn the 30th anniversary into a competition or anything as Coventty was alway humble in it's enthusiasm (well apart from against the Antrim in the HK tug or war). However there's at least five Jack Dustys going now including from USA and Orstralia! Bet the stokers and the sparkies can't top that!
