A big thanks to Chris Howe MBE, and all the Committee, the Coventry RNA, and everyone else involved in organising/hosting us at the weekend for the Service of Remembrance and reunion. A most humbling and enjoyable day meeting shipmates not seen in 30+ years. BZ

Sorry I could not make Coventry this year, but John Sharman (Membership Secretary) and myself did raise a glass in Gouves, Crete to those still on patrol. We also paid tribute to you guys who managed to make it to Coventry for the 31st reunion, a great thanks on our behalf.

On saturday evening I was at a charity boxing event for Help for Heroes, before the start we held a 3min silence and the last post was played, I looked at my watch and the time was 18:15, my thaughts were as always at that time a long way away.

Many thanks to Coventry RNA for making our reunion special as always. You look after us and treat us as one of your own. Also to the Holy Trinity Church and the people of Coventry who attened our Rememberance service on Saturday. To all those that were able to attend, i think we all had a great time sharing dits and raising a few glasses to those shipmates we left behind and we have sadly lost since. Calm seas to all.

In memory of the lads who never came home. My cousin Alan Bagnall was a survivor and the reason I joined the mob as he was an inspiration to me. He ended up being my CPO in 94 and I ended up serving on Southampton.

Today being that day (25th) I raised a glass to you all and those no longer with us. This is an a personal annual event for me, and I know for many other Broadsword oppos of mine. Time marches on but time stands still. It was fantastic to meet some Cov's in London at the Remembrance Parade in November 2012. Don't know their names, but good on ya lads. Best wishes to you all. Tanz (ex LS(S)).

I wish you well in your reunion in Coventry. Could I make the following correction; the Naval Party that recovered items from HMS COVENTRY was NP 2200 (not 2002) "Operation Blackleg". I was the CPO WEM(R) on that team. Best Wishes

Gentlemen We had a very successful reunion in St Petersburg on Tuesday, many lanterns were swung and much alcohol drunk. We remembered those still on patrol, this year we were asked to read our units Roll Of Honor (the first time I had done this, and it wasn't easy). Plans are already started for next year's reunion. Sorry I can't be in Coventry or Pompey this year, but I will be having a moment's silence on Saturday evening to remember. Calm seas and following winds. Dougie

Will be attending DTS and evening sesh this year for the first time, very nervous and hope I recognise at least one of you. Last time we met, we were all so young, had hair, teeth, no sense of mortality. Would be good to see Billy Cowan, Jock Patterson, Doug Brawley or any of the first crew.
