Wish I could have been there in Pompey, I was thinking of my old shipmates drinking and having fun - without me! I will try to get over as soon as I can - living here in Phoenix, Arizona - it just does not have that damp, salty, overcast weather Pompey has. Rocky - well done, and thanks for the phot's - Higgy, you need to loose wieght, Ginge wheres the hair? Nobby - I never thought you would ever grow old. Seems I remember all as they were 22 years ago. Keep in touch, and yes I will try and get Dougie over with me for the 25th (2007) reunion. As usual - email me, and I will add you to the list of reprabates that I call, and always will - Brothers and Shipmates.

Rocky - Thank you for organising the weekends events. Hopefully the attendance at these reunions will grow as time goes by. It was good to meet you and the others once again. Hasn't time been kind to us all!! Jock Rutherford - Still remember you, haven't seen you since we watched your camera and AGR disappear over the side, 22 years ago. Lets all raise a glass tonight and remember, absent friends. Hoppy

22 years! I was a seventeen year old Seaman (Sonar) in 1982. As time goes by I find myself reflecting more on that day and it seems as though it was yesterday. This is my first visit to the site - first class! Phil Mangnall

Rocky. Many thanks for all your hard work in bringing us together this past weekend. Sunday's short memorial service was a fitting way to remember. Both the laying of the wreath, and the old sea stories afterwards, whilst lsitening to the water slap against the harbour wall. Remembered with dignity. Again thanks. Topsy

Another year gone but never forgotten. Many thanks to Tony Woodruff for the heart moving words on Sunday. Still riding the high from renewing old friendships. Spending time with you guys reminded me of what a great bunch you all are. We've all gone our separate ways but at heart we're all still the same - sad gits - swing that lantern boys. Until next time. Yours Aye.

Just to let all know. The memorial on Sunday at 11.00 with be the South Atlantic Memorial, which is in Old Portsmouth, not far from the Still and West Pub. As well as the laying of the wreath, we will probably have a two minute silence, a roll of honour and I am sure a few words will be said.

Although I was only 17 when I I joined the Coventry late in 1981 reaching the ripe old age of 17.5 when we reached the Falklands. I really didn't get to know everyone that well. However if anyone does remember me I wish them well and a great reunion. I wish I could be there but I now live in Southern California and just heard about the reunion. Good luck have a great time and enjoy.

Reunion 21-23 May2004. Update and timings etc. DIT 1 Stacks of positive feed back over the reunion, especially over the last week. People are asking for details of meeting points etc. Like I said before, its pretty relaxed but most people suggest we meet at the Home Club. The planโ€ฆ such as it is can be found below. Some partners are joining us so it is likely that people will disappear over the course of the evening, maybe for meals etc. Donโ€™t feel obliged to stay in one big group.

DIT 2 Friday 21st. Meet at the Home Club 19:30. We will probably move on from there but can I suggest we stick to pubs around the town centre so that any late comers can track us down. Saturday. DTS 12:00. Evening 19:30. Again we will meet at the Home Club and probably move on as the mood takes us. Sunday. Wreath laying at the South Atlantic memorial. 11:00. (The wreath is ordered, it is the shape of an anchor, red white and blue flowers). Other than thatโ€ฆdo as you please, meet up with old mates and have a pleasant weekend. Look forward to seeing every one. Rocky.

What a great site dedicated to those who served and those who gave their lives on the Cov. I did my sea training on the Cov as a tiffy 1980 - 1981 joined her in Honky Fid during the Far East deployment. So many wonderful memories. Also served on Exeter '82 - 84. Must give huge credit to "Faz" Fazackerley and the others on Exeter who made the cross and erected it on Pebble Island during one of our trips. I remember that day poignantly as well. Would love to get in contact with others from the deployment etc especially those from the greenies mess. Regards Kevin (Kid) James
