I believe I've found a Walter Mitty claiming to have served on HMS Coventry when it was sunk in 1982. His name is Peter Barker, can anyone remember him from back then? He was no doubt in the navy but he does not wear a South Atlantic ribbon. He is a police officer in calgary Alberta Canada and disclosed he was on the ship when it was sunk and lost 13 of his colleagues. Can anyone confirm him serving on the ship at that time? He disclosed this when speaking publically at a suicide awareness conference in calgary 13th September.
